Gastroteca is a contemporary grill restaurant located on the banks of the Cali River in the west of the city. Our roots are in traditional cuisine from wine-producing regionsfrom Argentina, Spain and Italy. However, we constantly experiment with local products including vegetables from our garden in the western mountain range.
Our recipes revolve aroundgrill and clay oven fires. We prepare everything from imported cuts of meat to vegetables, pastas and risottos. We have an extensive wine list from small and medium-sized producers from seven countries. Are special, rare wines, ranging from organic productions to limited editions. All wines are imported exclusively by Vinos del Río.
Our house was built in the sixties and hastwo terraces with a privileged view of the park and the Cali river. The team is headed by Argentine chef Laura Palaiakis.
EXECUTIVE CHEF GASTROTECA RESTAURANT
She studied in Mendoza, took her first steps in 2003, as a service and kitchen intern, in the 1884 Restaurant of Francis Mallman, in the Escorihuela Gascón winery. After several years of intense work and travel, her restless soul allowed her to work and develop in different projects of hotels, wineries and restaurants in different cities of her country. Each experience helped her to achieve different techniques and approaches to the kitchen. In 2013 she opened her first restaurant in society, which was awarded by the Ministry of Tourism of Mendoza. Soon, with the work and recognition in their training, she continues with different enterprises, cooking classes, event organization and sale of their own products. Installed in Colombia, in Gastroteca, she continues to invite us to enjoy her eclectic and innovative proposal, fusing homemade and traditional cuisine with a truly gourmet style.
